Dr. Carithers has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2002 and a Registered Nurse since 1995.


She earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Alabama in Huntsville.


She earned a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Western Governors University


She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from South University (summa cum laude honors)

 

Dr. Carithers realized the benefits of massage after her initial session with a wonderful therapist. 


As a result, she enrolled in Southeastern School of Neuromuscular and Massage Bodywork.


As a board certified Massage Therapist, she has enjoyed the opportunity to dive into various modalities and techniques within the Massage profession.

These experiences have allowed her to extend her nursing skills into a holistic approach while caring for her patients/clients. She realizes the importance of offering healing to the mind and body after witnessing the relief expressed by her clients. Dr. Carithers appreciates the gratification received when clients look and feel better about their holistic experience during/after a session. Dr. ​Carithers is among the first 100 Therapists, in the nation, to become Board Certified. This is the highest attainable credential in the Massage Industry. She is also the first South Carolinian to complete the requirements for this credential. View link below for details.
